Live everyday for God
Live everyday for God

This morning during family Bible study, we discussed the importance of our behaviors matching up to who we say we are. One of the number one complaint of people is hypocrisy amongst Christians. So my question for you is, “are you a hypocrite?” When people think of you or speak of you, what do they say?  Hmmm, this is something we all need to contemplate. Well, I don’t know about you but I want to be a better person. I want to live each day striving to the better within myself and better towards other people. I want to learn to love more, forgive more and judge less. There way too many times in my life where I know I have been a hypocrite. I know I have lived in complete defiance to God’s word. I know that I have not been the person I was created to be. I know you may be saying, Heather quit being so hard on yourself. But if I’m not hard on myself, who will be? The Bible tells us to recognize our sins, to admit them to God and to turn from them. Many times we commit the same sins over and over again, but today is the day and now is the time to turn over a new leaf. Let’s do away with hypocrisy and begin to let our lives shine with Christ.

Just a Moment in Time
Just a Moment in Time

Do you ever just have one of those days where you just feel plain all old?

Well lately, it's all I seem to notice when I look in the mirror. I see wrinkles and bags and black circles under my eyes.

Our body is here on this earth our subject to aging do to send. By the way just today there was a link talking about how some scientist were able to link back evolution to Adam and eve. Amazing.

Anyways, I am so glad that our destiny is eternal. God tells us that he is going to give us new bodies that are free of and sighing and groaning. There will be no more sickness and no more disease. Hallelujah!

So, if you're ever having a down in the dumps day, remember God's amazing promise to us and look up and smile big. He has an amazing eternity in store for you and me. That hot mess in the mirror is only for a moment.
Shake it off
Shake it off

Have you ever seen a dog after they mark their territory kick their feet backwards? Their making sure that other dogs know, hey this is my territory! Well, this reminds me of a Bible verse and Matthew 10 that tells us to shake the dust off of our feet if others will not listen to us. As I watched my dogs so proudly kick the dirt, that was flying all over the place, I chuckled a bit.  It actually made me a little bit sad as I remembered how many people I had spread the gospel to and yet they had chosen not to listen to a single word that was said.  So, why did God tell us to kick the dirt off of our feet if they will not hear what we have to say?  Well, God has one plan and that is for us to all praise and worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  And while many are willing to listen to the message, there are always those who will not.  God does not want us to sit upset all of the time at those Who will not listen, so he tells us not to let it bother us.  Shake it off and move on. And if there are people in your life that you have worked and worked and worked with to try to bring the gospel to them and yet they just seem oblivious, Just remember that you did the planting of the seed.  You do not have to beat yourself up because they did not just graciously embrace every single thing that you said to them.  Kick that dirt up and continue doing what you were meant to do would just spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Embrace the differences
Embrace the differences
Are you willing to look at other people's shortcomings and forgive them? Or are you so proud that you only recognize faults and others and never realize that you yourself have faults as well?

We have to be willing to love each other how we are. If we spend our lives comparing one person to another person, we will never have fellowship with anyone.

Each person is unique and special. God did not create each and everyone of us to be the same in every way shape and form. He made you and he made me and every single person exactly how he wanted them to be.

So quit looking and judging just because someone doesn't look, think or act like you. It's OK to be different!
Not my fault
Not my fault
Do you find that things are always someone else's fault and never your own?

It reminds me of a multitude of times on my daughter has knocked things over and said, "it wasn't me".

But, each one of us has done this at one time or another. Or quick to jump to conclusions I'm quick to say things, and then we step back and look and realize 0MG maybe I should have not said or done that.

Well, I've done this on a multitude of occasions, Space most recently during my vacation to Key West and Cozumel. But we can't spend our lives beating ourselves up just because we did something wrong or said something wrong. We just have to suck it up buttercup and move on.

Dwelling on the past is never good for anyone. But we can take the time to recognize what we have or have not done and do our best to remedy the situation.

Thank goodness we have Jesus to cover our faults and to lead us and guide us along his straight and narrow path.

Sometimes that path can get slippery and you aren't sure which way to turn. But if the path that you were taking is leading you to question if what you were doing or saying is correct or wrong, you know the answer...back up and go the right way. and make certain that you take responsibility for your own actions.
Believe in miracles
Believe in miracles

There is power in the name of God! Are you going through the motions, or are you giving your heart lately to the God of heaven?

This is a question that you and you alone can only answer. When we look at the story about the woman with the issue of blood. She had suffered with a hemorrhage for 12 long years and she heard about Jesus. Jesus was coming to town and thousands and thousands and thousands of people crowded around, trying to get a glimpse of him.

She pushed forward knowing that if she could only touch the fringe of his robe that she would be healed. She reached out and touched his robe and self healing power shoot through her body. Jesus turned to his disciples and said who has touched me? They said Jesus there's thousands of people all around pushing and touching you. He said no healing power has gone out. He turned around and saw the woman and said your faith has healed.

How many people go to church or just claim to be a Christian on a daily basis, but don't really have to face it takes for Jesus to notice you?

Where is your faith and where is your walk with Christ?Don't just be another person claiming to be a Christian. Be the person that Jesus turns around for and says I see you, I know you and you are mine. Only you can make the decision and only you can make the change to Control your destiny.Make 100% sure the Jesus knows you and that you were walking with him every day.
Right or Right?
Right or Right?
This statement is so important for each one of us to remember every day. We go through our lives and we look at people and we are disturbed to buy the things they do are the things that they say, but are they really any different than us?

Perhaps a different circumstance or set of events surrounding what’s going on, but isn’t it all the same?

There are so many divides and society right now and it’s always surrounded around opinions. But they’re just that their opinions.

Yeah no, everybody thinks that they are right in every situation. It would be wonderful if instead of thinking that we are always right, we would take the time to actually hear what another person has to say and then instead of trying to change their mind, just say OK I respect that you have an opinion. It doesn’t mean that you have to agree with someone, but we don’t have to argue with them all the time.

We must be willing to admit when we have been wrong and to move forward. Humbling ourselves and thinking of others as better than ourselves does require action.

We don’t have to always be right, we don’t have to always have the last word and we don’t always have to make sure that we appear better than somebody else.

Be willing to hear, and I mean really hear what someone else has to say. The most important thing that we can do is truly love other people and be willing to look at them as better than ourselves.

Because in the end we are all just children of God here on this earth making mistakes, doing and saying right and wrong things and just living our lives. So, live your life in a different way and be willing to humble yourself and think of others as better than you.

The mind is a battlefield
The mind is a battlefield

Do you ever notice how some days your mind goes one way and then suddenly it’s going in another direction? It seems like it’s back-and-forth back-and-forth back-and-forth.

There are many thoughts that go through our heads on a regular basis. Some are good and some are bad. And the battle is for our minds. Satan knows that if he can grab a hold of that one thought that is negative and work it, that he has us in his grips.

So what can we do to make sure that we are battle ready? We have to make sure that our eyes are focused on good and pure things, we have to make sure we are reading the word of God on a daily basis and we have to make sure that we are in prayer throughout the day.

Are you having thoughts that are negative and thoughts that are leading you down a wrong path, they are not, I repeat they are not from God!

Make sure that you are paying attention to how you are thinking. You do not have to continue to focus in on negative thoughts that are leading you astray. You have control of your thought life! Start thinking about what you are thinking about.

The battle in our minds is just that, it is a battle. And we must be prepared. We must put on and be battle ready.

Our worst critic….
Our worst critic….
Bam, Wham!, do you ever find that you are your own worst enemy? Well, if you're anything like me you've done this numerous times.

You beat yourself up for decisions that you've made, or thoughts that you have had all the while thinking you are the worst person ever!

Well, taking a correct self inventory is not necessarily a bad thing but as with all things, we can take it to an extreme. We have to learn to find that middle ground for that sweet spot where we are not condemning our self, but instead correcting our self.

The Holy Spirit is our still small voice that reminds us. He tells us when there's areas of our lives that need adjusting and helps us find a way to adjust them. Satan, on the other hand, is the great condemnor. He wants nothing more than for you to feel horrific about the decisions that you have made or the actions that you have taken.

There is this beautiful thing call to repentance. What this means is that if we had done something or said something wrong, we ask God for forgiveness and we make a rational decision to stop doing or saying that the tick killer thing.

Now no one ever said it was going to be easy. Being able to sacrifice our wants and desires to please God can be difficult at times. But saying no to ourselves is sometimes the best decision we will ever make.

So the next time you decide to beat yourself up for something that you have done, look back at the situation and try to find the rational solution. Be willing to change for God and be willing to except your own weaknesses.

There will be times where you will feel like you are repenting and repenting and repenting, but that is normal. That is why Jesus came for us. He took it upon the cross. He took Carson wants for all times.

Many people feel that because Jesus took our sins that they can live a lackadaisical life, but quite the opposite is true. When we have a true appreciation for what Jesus did for us, we will want to spend our time thinking and trying to be a better person. Remember that faith without works is dead and useless.
