As Cozy and Warm as Home
As your preschooler matures, the surroundings and activities become more complex. Each preschool room has different play areas, also known as "learning centers." They include drama; blocks, puzzles manipulatives, and games; quiet area or library; art and writing; and science. We use Lake Shore Learning curriculum to formulate our lesson plans. Your child will also be learning multiple foreign languages and cultures.
Hands-On Learning
Each day we provide time for the little things that matter so much to preschoolers. Mastering tasks and skills such as tying shoelaces, cutting with scissors, drawing, and painting allow your budding student to take more responsibility for their personal care. Your child learns best through play and exploration. They will be given opportunities each and every day to build their creativity and imagination through these learning activities.
Growing Bigger and Stronger
Much to their joy, it's obvious your child can run, jump, and climb farther, faster, and better than ever before. We'll help encourage further growth by providing the opportunity to climb and jump, play with balls, ride tricycles and play duck-duck-goose. The good habits and skills your child develops now are the basis for sports, dancing, and other activities that begin during preschool and continue for their lifetime.
A Whole New World
Your preschooler will ask questions about everything. This helps build their linguistic skills and general knowledge. At this time, your child’s intellect is developing rapidly. Lessons include activities to help develop language/vocabulary, math, writing, reading and bible understanding. Essential learning skills will be taught from big books, alphabet books, rhyming books, word walls, labeling, and counting.
All staff have completed the Florida state mandated DCF child care courses. Many teachers are also FCCPC and/or CDA certified or higher.
