- Our story
From a mustard seed, a West Melbourne school.
Mustard Seed Kidz has been growing on Eber Boulevard since 2009. One campus, one mission, and a promise that every child here is raised with the love of Christ.
- Serving Brevard since 2009
First licensed more than fifteen years ago.
- Family owned and operated
One family, one school, one mission.
- Licensed for 337 children
One campus, a room for every age.
- A true neighborhood school
Palm Bay, Melbourne, and West Melbourne.
- How we started
A neighborhood school with deep roots.
The sign out front has watched a lot of first days. Since 2009, this campus on Eber Boulevard has welcomed babies who learned to walk in our infant room, waved goodbye to VPK graduates headed for kindergarten, and then welcomed many of them right back for summer camp. Some of the children here today are the younger siblings of our very first students.
Since 2009 the years have been spent sharpening what families already loved: updated policies, specialized instructor coaches in the classrooms, a faith based curriculum, and a holistic approach that cares for the whole child.
What has never changed is the feel of the place. Teachers who learn your child’s name in the first hour. Prayer before lunch. A wave at drop-off instead of a worry.
- Our mission
That sentence hangs over everything we plan, everyone we hire, and every lesson we teach. It is the measuring stick for a good week at Mustard Seed Kidz, and we would love for you to hold us to it.
- Why the name
The smallest seed. The greatest tree.
Jesus told a story about a seed so small you could lose it in your palm, and the great sheltering tree it becomes. That is how we see every child who walks through our doors. Small beginnings are not small things here. They are the whole point.
It is also how we run the school. We celebrate first words as loudly as graduation. We are patient with wobbly starts. And we plant carefully, because we know exactly what these seeds grow into.
Matthew 13:32
- What we commit to
Four promises behind every classroom door.
Faith based curriculum
Learning experiences built to meet the educational, emotional, and spiritual needs of every child in our care. Bible lessons carry everyday application: caring for others, caring for family, gratitude for the day.
Independent exploration
Supervised opportunities for children to learn, play, and explore on their own terms. Choice builds confidence, and confidence is the quiet engine behind every other skill we teach.
S.T.E.A.M. projects
Science, technology, engineering, art, and math, all hands on. Little ones who build, pour, mix, and measure grow into schoolkids who think critically and love finding out why.
Technology integration
Interactive software and classroom technology that develop early literacy and math skills. Screens here are a tool with a teacher beside them, never a babysitter.
- By the numbers
Facts you can check on a tour.
One campus on Eber Boulevard, with a room for every age from six weeks to twelve years.
First licensed in 2009, family owned and operated since day one.
Nine in ten of our families come from Palm Bay, Melbourne, and West Melbourne.
Doors open 6:30 to 6:00, Monday through Friday. Tours welcome almost any day.
- The people
Family owned. Teacher powered.
Mustard Seed Kidz is not a franchise with a headquarters somewhere far away. It is one school, family owned and operated, staffed by teachers supported with specialized instructor coaches so groups stay small and attention stays real.
We work in partnership with families, because the mission says so and because it works. You will hear about your child’s day at pickup from someone who actually lived it with them.
- Specialized instructor coaches in the classrooms
- Family partnership at the center of the mission
- A licensed facility, open with parents
Questions families ask about us.
Our campus on Eber Boulevard was first licensed in 2009, and we have been welcoming Brevard families ever since. Family owned and operated since day one.
Bible stories, songs, prayer, and everyday lessons about caring for others and caring for family, woven gently through the week alongside strong academics. Families of every background are welcome here.
Please do. Tours run on weekday mornings and afternoons while classrooms are in session, so you can watch our teachers do what they do best and bring every question you have.
Yes. Cameras cover every classroom, the hallways, the playgrounds, and even the parking lots. Paired with our sign in and authorized pickup procedures, it is one more layer of security wrapped around your child’s day.
